Following a period of exceptionally wet weather, a coastal cliff on the South Coast became unstable, triggering significant ground movement and resulting in damage to a nearby property. EAP's Structural and Geotechnical Engineers conducted detailed site investigations to assess the extent of the instability and associated risks. Based on their findings, a retaining structure was designed to stabilise the cliff and prevent further movement.
Due to restricted site access and the extent of the damage, part of the affected residential property required demolition and reconstruction. This aspect of the project was managed by EAP's Architectural Designers and Surveyors, ensuring a coordinated approach to both structural remediation and property redevelopment.
