EAP Property Services were contacted following an emergency incident where a bin lorry collided with an archway at a residential block of flats, raising serious concerns around structural integrity and resident safety.
The incident
A vehicle struck a structural archway at a block of flats, causing damage and raising concerns about the load-bearing capacity of the structure. Due to the nature of the impact and the location of the damage, there was a risk of further structural movement and potential danger to residents, members of the public and vehicles.
Given the urgency and safety implications, immediate professional intervention was required.
